Well it’s been a long haul so far but I’ve almost made it to Le Castellet, home of the Bol d’Or World Endurance Event. The Bol d’Or marks the opening round of the FIM Word Endurance Championship for 2018/2019, but she ain’t been easy to get to from Oz!

It’s taken a couple of full days with stopovers in Dubai and Prague and a missed connection due to weather (plane delay)…are we there yet! I’m currently sitting in a Bar at Frankfurt Airport waiting for my re-scheduled flight, all being well I should arrive in Marseille at 2130 local time. Let’s see…that’s just on 48hrs…the gods must be crazy.

Next on my agenda is my first French lesson. Not a word or a phrase but figuring out how to drive on the wrong side of the road as I head out to the Paul Ricard circuit some 45km’s away from Marseille. No chance to sort out the media credentials tonight, so hopefully I can catch up with the team, Penz13.com and see if the boys have a spare bunk in the truck tonight as the riders will all be tucked away in bed! If not it’s the rental car for me!

Tomorrow’s another day and hopefully I’ll get both my accreditation and track briefing out of the way in time for tomorrows first free practice session at 0930hrs…fingers crossed.
