Hector Faubel, manager of Aldeguer has revealed details of his contract with Ducati: “We signed for two years with an option for two more. In 2025 we could ride a GP24 or GP25.”

Ducati has put its factory team in place, signing Marc Marquea alongside Bagnaia but there are still many pieces to the puzzle to be sorted, especially those involving the satellite teams. The focus is on Pramac and finding out what they will do. Paulo Campinoti has a contract option, that expires at the end of July to extend his partnership with Borgo Panigale for another two years.

Pramac’s choice is of great importance, especially for the future of Aldeguer who signed his Ducati contract in mid-March. Mauro Grassili, Ducati’s Sporting Director explained in April that Fermin “as per his contract will go to the factory supported team,” that is, the one that runs the official bikes

Hector Faubel, the Spanish riders manager elaborated, “we signed a 2+2 contract. We have two safe years and two more conditional on results. However we still don’t know for which team he will ride, however Ducati has told us to stay calm. They have faith in him.”

As for which bike he will ride, there is still no certainty. “The first year he could have a GP24 or GP25, Ducati will decide that. In the second year however he will definitely have a GP26,” the manager said. Also because in all likelihood, development will be frozen for 2026 (so that manufacturers can focus on the new 850cc bikes for 2027) and therefore there will not be a substantial difference between the 2025 and 2026 models.

There are also those that have aired the possibility that, should Pramac abandon Ducati, Fermin would have to postpone his MotoGP debut. Braking Aldeguer’s contract undoubtedly would be costly for Ducati but do they want to lose such a talented raider. “It has been said that if Ducatic dont have a bike for him in 2025, they would need to pay out 300,000 euros”, however the figure is said to be much higher than that according to Faubel.
