Anthoine Hubert tragically died at the 2019 Belgian F1 Grand Prix weekend at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit after a crash. He was competing in the Formula 2 race a day before the F1 grand prix, and representing the British team Arden, when he was involved in a fatal incident. The FIA ruled that no driver was to blame for the crash that resulted in Hubert’s death. There was “no evidence that any driver failed to react appropriately in response to the yellow flag or to the circumstances on track”, the FIA investigation stated.
